Schools purchase sets of Learning Upgrade online student courses codes. Each course code enables a teacher to enroll one student in one course. The student has unlimited access to a course for one year from the time a teacher first enrolls the student. The courses are "mix and match". For example, a school can purchase 20 courses and later use 10 for Reading Upgrade, 5 for Comprehension Upgrade, and 5 for Math Upgrade. Also, each course code does not have an expiration date until a student is enrolled, so teachers can save unused course codes for later use.

Once Learning Upgrade receives a school purchase order by fax or mail, we will send a Teacher's Guide(s) and a list of student course codes to the school or district. Each course code can be used by a teacher to enroll one student in one of the courses. Teachers use a web-based Teacher Menu to enroll students and track their progress. Each student can use the course for one full year from the time of enrollment, and can review the lessons as many times as necessary.

We typically ship the materials within one business day of receipt of an order, so teachers can begin using the courses with students within days of ordering. Also, if the purchase order contains a teacher contact with an email address, we will email the codes and quick start instructions. This allows the teacher to enroll students immediately.

For intervention programs, students reading at a basic level should start on Reading Upgrade. After mastering the course lessons, these students can move on to Comprehension Upgrade. This requires two courses total per student. Students who read at grade 5 or above should start directly on Comprehension Upgrade.
